Former Labour Parliamentary Candidate Will Cass (far right) reacts as the result of the Aylesbury count is announced following the 2015 general election. He has criticised the repatriation of the 30 British victim of the Tunisia terror attack on his personal Facebook page writing the victims 'should not be repatriated as if they were fallen soldiers. They weren't. They died on holiday not in service. Sad as it is, all this militarization makes it look as if the country is at war. It will legitimise a response (like bombing Syria). They will be used to justify an imperialist response.'<br />

  • © Licensed to London News Pictures. 15/05/2018. Bristol, UK. Protest and march in solidarity with Palestine after 70 Years since the Nakba (Catastrophe) and with the Great March of Return in Palestine, calling for justice, equality and the implementation of the right of return of Palestinians to their homes in what is now Israel. Protests are being held in other cities following 58 Palestinian protesters having been killed and 2,000+ injured yesterday by Israeli forces firing on the 35,000-strong protests at the Gaza border, the most lethal in a string of such episodes as Palestinians have protested for the right to return to occupied lands over the past 6 weeks. The Bristol protest was organised by Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Bristol Stop the War Coalition with other groups. The campaign says that Between 1947 and 1949, Zionist paramilitary forces ethnically cleansed and eradicated over 500 villages and cities in Palestine, displacing 750,000 Palestinians and taking over 78% of the land. Palestinians call this process the ‘Nakba’, or catastrophe. Today, over 7 million Palestinian refugees are scattered around the world, many of whom live in refugee camps in the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria. Photo credit: Simon Chapman/LNP
