Performers from the Graeae Theatre Company take part in a sway pole performance at one of many free live performances along the Southbank this evening...The Garden was commissioned as part of Unlimited, the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad programme, from an original idea by Greenwich+Docklands International Festival. The show is based on the idea of a troupe of nomadic story-keepers (the Keeper of Dreams, Keeper of History, Keeper of Song and Keeper of Names), who share three stories of grace, growing up and imagination. For a brief moment in time, the Keepers open their garden-ritual - a ceremony of renewal, transformation, and harmony. Original composed music plays as the artists take to four metre high sway poles to create new stories in the air. Photo credit : Alison Baskerville/LNP
