  • © Licensed to Alison Baskerville. 01/04/2013. Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire. Whilst many enjoyed the Easter break a farmer and his family were working through the night to lamb their 2400 sheep. Andrew Froggat, 46 has been farming sheep for the past 23 years and has faced one of his coldest and toughest seasons to date. As a family owned farm it's been all hands to the deck as they work around the clock to make sure all the lambs are born healthy and alive. Starting as a shepherd and with just 12 sheep Andrew has worked his way upto become one of the largest sheep farmers in Staffordshire...With freezing temperatures and the recent snow Andrew has lost many lambs to the weather, which has made the fields surrounding his farm in Abbots Bromley in Staffordshire a hazardous place for his new lambs. Forced to lamb inside a giant shed Andrew and his family will work continuously over the coming weeks until all the sheep have lambed. He now hopes that the snow will eventually start to thaw to reveal the grass and get his new flock out onto the 1000 acres of land that spans the local countryside.
