UK Weather: A man slack-lining on a glorious, and unusually warm,  autumn evening at the seaside in Aberystwyth on the west wales coast, after a day of exceptionally warm sunshine for much of the UK, with temperatures reaching the 20’s celsius. The weather is set to change dramatically on Friday and Saturday however, with a band of torrential rain bringing the risk of flooding to much of Wales and North West  England<br />

The banks of the River Thames were packed with spectators to see the Colombian flagship ARC Gloria go through Tower Bridge to celebrate Colombia Day. The three masted sail training ship had 67 crew members balancing on the masts singing the Colombian national anthem as she sailed under Tower Bridge at 7pm and back under at 7.30pm as the sun set behind her. The ship has been in London for several days. Onlookers enjoyed the spectacle on an evening of warm late summer sunshine. The ship has a crew of 150, including 67 final-year cadets from the Colombian Naval Academy and one dog “Black Pearl” the sailing black Labrador and the flagship’s mascot. Credit : Rob Powell/LNP
