The paper today (Sunday) published its last issue after controversy surrounding allegations that of the hacking of phones belonging to celebrities, friends and relatives of dead service personnel and the phone of murder victim Milly Dowler. The decision to close the most successful Sunday paper, taken by parent company News Corp, will see around 200 staff lose their jobs and sister publication the Sun is set to go to print seven days a week.
