  • Hollywood actors Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart join soldiers from F Company the Scots Guards in a 'Sparta salute'.  Butler met the soldiers at Wellington Barracks in Central London ahead of a special preview screening of Hollywood movie Olympus Has Fallen, released 17th April 2013. ..The actors spent time talking to the soldiers prior to the troops watching a special preview of the film in the barracks.  Commenting on meeting the men and women from the various Guards regiments Aaron Eckhart stated:.."Wow, what an honour! The chapel, along A233 Main Road,Biggin Hill,Kent could close from March next year if replacement funding is not found. <br />
 The names of 454 servicemen operating from Biggin Hill who lost their lives in World War II are commemorated in the church. <br />
Also flanking the entrance are two full size replicas of a Spitfire and a Hurricane 'gate guardians'. <br />
The Chapel also has  Stained glass windows depicting a variety of aviation scenes some designed by Hugh Easton. <br />

Lance Corporal Jeanne Du Preez (34) a Royal Logistics Core diver displays some of his equipment as the British Army reveal it's new specialist, combat and command skills formation today. This new part of the Army will be made up of 36000 Regular and Reserve soldiers, which is a third of the army as a whole and supports the logistics of operations both in the UK and abroad.
