The normal large military parade and civic procession was cancelled due to the national lockdown restrictions for the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, but around 40 people gathered for the two-minute silence that traditionally takes place at 11.00am, recognising the precise time that the hostilities ceased in 1918 – the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
