All sculptures will then go to auction on 8th October, with proceeds from the Bristol sculptures benefitting The Grand Appeal which funds pioneering medical equipment, facilities, and comforts for patients at Bristol Children’s Hospital. From Monday 1st July, Bristol will be home to 80 iconic giant Gromit sculptures as our public arts trail Gromit Unleashed takes to the streets.  The 5 foot high sculptures which have been painted by artists will be placed in various locations around Bristol and will eventually be auctioned for charity.  All proceeds from Gromit Unleashed will benefit Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.  26 June 2013.<br />

The Rebel Youth Alliance hopes the film, television and theatre industries and its trade unions BECTU and Equity will join them and together use the industry's position as a cultural leader to press for change to avoid the collapse of civilisation and the deaths of millions. From Monday 1st July, Bristol will be home to 80 iconic giant Gromit sculptures as our public arts trail Gromit Unleashed takes to the streets.  The 5 foot high sculptures which have been painted by artists will be placed in various locations around Bristol and will eventually be auctioned for charity.  All proceeds from Gromit Unleashed will benefit Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.  Gromit is a character from the popular Aardman Animation series of films and was designed by Nick Park.  29 June 2013.<br />

Gromit Unleashed 2 which officially begins on 02 July will see the Academy Award®-winning character Gromit by Nick Park at Aardman Animations returning to Bristol in 2018 for the second time on sculpture trails to raise money for  the Grand Appeal charity. The character of Gromit will be joined by Wallace and their arch nemesis Feathers McGraw. The trail will feature over 60 giant sculptures designed by high-profile artists, designers, innovators and local talent. The Shaun in the City trail starts today with 70 5ft tall Shaun the Sheep sculptures originally devised by Aardman Animations with these sculptures decorated by various artists.  The Shaun trail happened in London in the spring, and the Bristol Trail lasts till 31 August.  At the end of September all 120 Shaun sculptures will be viewable together in Covent Garden.  All sculptures will then go to auction on 8th October, with proceeds from the Bristol sculptures benefitting The Grand Appeal which funds pioneering medical equipment, facilities, and comforts for patients at Bristol Children’s Hospital.
