Over 1000 people attended Easton Jamia Mosque’s Grand Iftar celebration in St Marks Road, organised to give the the local Muslim community the opportunity break bread with their wider community during Ramadan. Festivities included a feast with food handed out to everyone by the muslim community, as well as an opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. Similar events across the country are held to promote and celebrate unity within the community, giving people the chance to come along and learn about the significance of Ramadan within the Islamic faith.
