© Licensed to London News Pictures. 18/01/2019. Liverpool , UK. Liverpool Metro Mayor STEVE ROTHERHAM (c) with BEN HARRIS (l) and JULIE ROACH (r) , both of whom have lived experience of the detrimental effects of mental health stigma and support the campaign . Ava Max's number one single , Sweet but Psycho , has been criticised by the Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA), a suicide prevention campaign group . In an open letter to the pop star and UK broadcasters , co-signed by Liverpool Mayor Steve Rotherham and Luciana Berger MP , the ZSA say the song's lyrics and the video's imagery reinforce negative perceptions about people with mental health issues and undermines their effort to combat stigma , which can prevent suicidal people from seeking help , with potentially life-threatening consequences .
