Bart's Bash sailing event

© Licensed to London News Pictures. 17/09/2017; Chew Valley Lake, Somerset, UK. ‘Bart’s Bash 2017, part of the World's Largest Sailing Event held across the UK and internationally. Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club takes part in the annual Bart’s Bash Event with other sailing clubs around the world to help raise funds for the Andrew "Bart" Simpson Foundation, a charity which helps young people of all abilities improve their lives through participation in the sport of sailing, and which this year is supporting sailing clubs adversely affected by Hurricane Irma. There are currently 587 clubs worldwide involved and 79 countries. This year 77 boats took part at Chew Valley Lake and the club was the 4th largest participant in the world this year.
