BMXLife's London Santa Cruise

Download

© Licensed to London News Pictures. 15/12/2018. London, UK. Hundreds of people take park in BMXLife’s London Santa Cruise stopping at Horse Guards Parade before cycle through London and raise awareness and money for Evelina London Children's Hospital (ECHO), for children with heart conditions. The annual event began four years ago after Stephane Wright’s son Tommy, suffered a heart attack and spent time at Evelina London. Tommy was only 6 months old when he suffered a heart attack and nearly died. He was admitted to Evelina London Children's Hospital in October 2014. Tommy spent four weeks in Paediatric Intensive Care and the High Dependency Unit. Fortunately Tommy recovered well and was able to return home to his parents, Stephane and Karen, and sister’s Caitlin and April. However, Tommy will require further operations as he grows up, so will be returning to the Evelina London in time.
