Canterbury Catherdal clock removal for renovation work

The Cathedral Clock built in 1855 and housed on the south west tower of Canterbury Cathedral is being dismantled ready to be renovated and re-guilded. The clock face weighing 78 kilos and measuring 8 feet in diameter is being shipped to the Cumbrai Clock Company in Penrith and will be absent from the cathedral for 18 months.
