Shaun the Sheep sculptures in Bristol

© Licensed to London News Pictures. 06/07/2015. Bristol, UK. SHAUN THE SHEEP, 'Bagpuss Shaun' designed by Peter Firmin. The Shaun in the City trail starts today with 70 5ft tall Shaun the Sheep sculptures originally devised by Aardman Animations with these sculptures decorated by various artists. The Shaun trail happened in London in the spring, and the Bristol Trail lasts till 31 August. At the end of September all 120 Shaun sculptures will be viewable together in Covent Garden. All sculptures will then go to auction on 8th October, with proceeds from the Bristol sculptures benefitting The Grand Appeal which funds pioneering medical equipment, facilities, and comforts for patients at Bristol Children’s Hospital. Proceeds from the London sculptures will benefit Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity supporting children’s hospitals and hospices throughout the UK. Photo credit : Simon Chapman/LNP
