UK Weather : Starlings murmuration in Aberystwyth Wales

Aberystwyth,UK.At sunset on a windy evening as Storm Erik finally blows itself out, huge flocks of tens of thousands of starlings (known as ‘adar yr eira’ - ‘snow birds’ in the welsh language) perform their spectacular ‘murmurations’ in the sky as they return from their daily feeding grounds to roost for the night on the forest of cast iron legs underneath Aberystwyth’s Victorian seaside pier. The west coast town is one of the few urban roosts in the country and draws people from all over the UK to witness the spectacular nightly displays between October and March.
