Global Climate Strike

Download

© Licensed to London News Pictures. 20/09/2019. Bristol, UK. Wildlife filmmakers with "Film Strike for Climate" take part in the Global Climate Strike on 20 September 2019. Bristol is an international centre for wildlife filmmaking, and Film Strike for Climate is a movement within the film industry to mobilise cast, crew and industry member to strike on September 20th to demand radical and immediate international climate action. The Bristol event, with Bristol Youth Strike 4 Climate, is part of a UK wide and international day of protest as students and school pupils and adult workers across the world miss classes and strike to protest a lack of governments' action to combat the climate crisis, ahead of the 2019 Climate Action Summit in New York on 23 September with plans to address the global climate emergency. The international school strike for climate movement was started by Swedish student Greta Thunberg. Photo credit: Simon Chapman/LNP.
