Deaf Signing World Record

STOKE MANDEVILLE, UK. 2,000 local school children pack Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Buckinghamshire in an attempt to break the world record for simultaneous deaf signing. The sign2sing event is organised by charity SignHealth who work with profoundly deaf children, young people and adults throughout the UK, whose first language is not English but British Sign Language. Nationally over 130,000 children from 975 schools are expected to take part, beating the previous record of 94,489 participants set by the charity last year. *** Taken with permission of event organiser ***.
