Download

© Licensed to London News Pictures. 30/08/2019. Bristol, UK. Campaigners dressed as characters from Star Wars hand out leaflets outside Aardman Animation Studios for the Extinction Rebellion Rebel Youth Alliance, The Film Industry Strikes Back event. Extinction Rebellion have formed an alliance with the Youth Strike for Climate and are asking the film industry for help after hearing Greta Thunberg's call "We need everyone" for a general strike, the Global Climate Strike on 20 September. The Rebel Youth Alliance hopes the film, television and theatre industries and its trade unions BECTU and Equity will join them and together use the industry's position as a cultural leader to press for change to avoid the collapse of civilisation and the deaths of millions.
