Manchester Metropolitan University sport lecturer and US Army veteran Juan Jasso , originally from Texas, was the victim of racial abuse on a Manchester tram . The incident , recorded on a passenger's mobile phone and seen widely on social media , took place on on 28th June 2016 . Aaron Cauchi (born 27/07/97) of Brydon Close in Salford is charged with two public order offences and assault . Robert Molloy (born 24/05/96) of no fixed address is charged with racially aggravated assault , two assaults and a public order offence .
