GMC office move

© Licensed to London News Pictures. 10/07/2019. Manchester, UK. Medial training mannekins and rubber body parts are transported through Manchester City Centre , between the old and the new facilities. General Medical Council (GMC) staff prepare for the opening of the regulator's new test facility in central Manchester. The £2.5m clinical assessment centre in the city's Spinningfields district will assess the skills of overseas-trained doctors who want to work in the UK. Once it opens in early August, more than 1,000 doctors per month will undergo a series of practical tests to show they have the skills required for a licence to practise medicine in the UK. It will replace the GMC's existing test centre, which has a more limited capacity. Photo credit: Joel Goodman/LNP
