Extinction Rebellion

Download

© Licensed to London News Pictures. 16/02/2019. Bristol, UK. Extinction Rebellion Bristol hold a street party and road blockade in Stokes Croft, forcing traffic to divert. Today's action is to help set the stage for Extinction Rebellion's International Rebellion starting April where thousands will occupy the streets of London. Extinction Rebellion say the Bristol street party is a family friendly event to reclaim the streets of the city, and that they are in open, peaceful rebellion against the UK Government and will not accept the mere declaration of a climate emergency; concrete action must follow. Extinction Rebellion say Bristol airport must not expand and that doing so is a foolish and dangerous decision. There are a variety of spoken word, musical, and circus performers, and it will be an alcohol and drug free space. Photo credit: Simon Chapman/LNP
