St George's RAF chapel in Biggin Hill is facing closure after the Ministry of Defence decided to pull funding.
The chapel, along A233 Main Road,Biggin Hill,Kent could close from March next year if replacement funding is not found.
The names of 454 servicemen operating from Biggin Hill who lost their lives in World War II are commemorated in the church.
Also flanking the entrance are two full size replicas of a Spitfire and a Hurricane 'gate guardians'.
The Chapel also has Stained glass windows depicting a variety of aviation scenes some designed by Hugh Easton.
