A Sotheby's employee adjusts 'Vesuvius Erupting By Moonlight With Spectators In The Foreground' (L) and 'Vesuvius Erupting At Night With Spectators Looking On From The Foreground' (c. 1794) (est. GB£80,000-120,000) a pair of oil paintings depicting the eighteenth century eruptions of Italy's Mount Vesuvius by French artist Pierre-Jacques Volaire, part of 285 pieces of art that make up Sotheby's latest sale 'Defining Taste' at the London based auction houses New Bond Street premises. The auction, set to take place on the 12th of November 2013, consists of art, ranging in price from GB£100-120,000 and from the middle ages to very present works, that were collected during the 45 year career of esteemed art dealer Danny Katz.
