The Fire and Rescue services in England and Wales staged a 4 hour strike over changes to pension entitlement if fire fighters are unfit to continue working past the age of 55. The Government wants fire fighters to work till they are 60 to achieve a full pension but the Fire Brigades Union says very few if any fire fighters are fit enough at 60 to work on the front line fighting fires. 14 January 2013.
