A campaigner called Megan Mercyful from Stop the Cull checks badger setts to see if the cull team have baited them with peanuts to draw the badgers away from the sett entrance so they can be shot. The campaigners found a lot of peanuts buried and scattered by the sett complex at Hazeldine Wood near the village of Red Marley D'Abitot. The Government has licensed a pilot badger cull in parts of Somerset and Gloucestershire as part of efforts to reduce bovine tuberculosis in cows on farms. Campaigners say the cull is inhumane and will not eradicate bovine tuberculosis. 08 September 2013.
